About the video
In a short recording published on the İstanbul Akademi channel on 19 May 2020, Prof. Dr. Murat Volkan Dülger explained the principle that personal data must be relevant, limited and proportionate to the purpose for which they are processed. The principle was illustrated by the example of patient data collected for treatment being passed on to an insurance company with which the hospital has an agreement; it was noted that such sharing may take place only after the data subject has been asked and has agreed.
