About the video
In a short recording published on the İstanbul Akademi channel on 17 November 2020, Prof. Dr. Murat Volkan Dülger listed the basic principles laid down by statute for the processing of personal data. Reference was made to compliance with the law and the rules of good faith, the requirement that data be relevant, limited and proportionate to the purpose of processing, the keeping of data accurate and, where necessary, up to date, and their retention for the period required for the purpose for which they are processed; the obligation to destroy the data at the end of the specified period was also recalled.
