The Personal Data Protection Authority has amended the Regulation on the Erasure, Destruction or Anonymisation of Personal Data of 28 October 2017 and the Regulation on the Data Controllers’ Registry of 30 December 2017, and the regulations containing these amendments were published in Official Gazette No. 30758 of 28 April 2019.
The second development in personal data protection legislation was published in Official Gazette No. 30777 of 17 May 2019. Here the Authority introduced the Regulation on Disciplinary Superiors of the Personal Data Protection Authority and amended the Regulation on the Working Procedures and Principles of the Personal Data Protection Board. In this article I will consider what these amendments mean and what conveniences or difficulties they will bring in practice.
