Abstract

This work was written in Turkish. The summary on this page is a translation; the citation gives the original title in parentheses.

In terms of economic and social relations, the world has shown great development and progress, particularly over the last two centuries. It can be seen that the driving force behind this was, first of all, the developments in science and technology that came with the invention of the steam engine, that these brought economic growth, and that this economic growth and relations of interest have shaped the world in the full sense. It is notable that, as a result of the extraordinary development in information technology in particular and its immediate application to the communications and finance sectors, borders have now disappeared and the whole of humanity has become part of globalisation, and that the economy and the banking sector have thus grown on an international scale.
