We are with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Volkan Dülger, Member of the Board of Directors of the Data Protection Association (Veri Koruma Derneği), to hear his views on the health sector on the basis of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK). “The purpose of the KVKK is to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons, the privacy of private life in particular, in the processing of personal data, and to regulate the obligations of natural and legal persons who process personal data and the procedures and principles with which they must comply.” What is personal data, and what were the reasons that made this law necessary?
