About the video

An employer may use cameras at the workplace for security or efficiency, but monitoring must be proportionate and limited. Areas such as prayer rooms, changing rooms and toilets may not be monitored. Employees must be informed in advance, and camera monitoring must be announced with visible signs.

An employee may apply to the employer to find out what data about them is being processed; if the application is rejected or not answered in time, a complaint may be lodged with the Personal Data Protection Board (Law No. 6698, Arts. 4, 10, 11, 13 and 14).
