About the video
An employer may ask a job applicant only for data that is directly related to and necessary for the job; data may not be collected “just in case” (Law No. 6698, Art. 4). Identity, contact, education and professional experience details may be requested.
Criminal records and health information are special categories of personal data; processing them is prohibited as a rule and possible only in the exceptional cases listed in the Law (Art. 6). If they are unrelated to the job they should not be requested; if the applicant has provided them voluntarily and there is no reason requiring their processing, they must be erased, destroyed or anonymised (Art. 7).
