About the video
This is the recording, dated 15 April 2022, of a talk given at the TEDxLycéeSaintBenoit event and available on the TEDx Talks channel. In the first half of the talk, Prof. Dr. Murat Volkan Dülger told his own story, which led from the dream of becoming an astronaut to a military boarding school, then to the Faculty of Law of Istanbul University and to his academic work in criminal law and IT law. The second half, addressed to young people, focused on the need to learn information technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) and to turn towards creative work. In this context, the change in the workforce of law offices was discussed through the examples of case-law search software, the National Judiciary Network Project (Ulusal Yargı Ağı Projesi), electronic signatures and electronic service of documents, together with the use of AI in other professions such as medicine.
